Shanti Devi Welfare Foundation has stepped out amid the rising third wave of COVID-19 to assist the disadvantaged and needy members of society.
On Sunday, the members of the foundation led the initiative of distributing blankets and masks to 250 people (50 Men and 200 Women) in a tent-house in Devgaon Village of Milkipur Administrative District.
The move is welcomed by the local people as the winter conditions are at peak, cold waves in the region have adverse effects on the health of people. In wake of rising cases of Omicron variant of Corona, protective masks will help them against Covid-19 infection.
Organization’s representatives expressed their belief that in this situation of Coronavirus pandemic, the foundation will continue to distribute food grains, medicines, masks, sanitizers and other essential commodities.
The cold waves, extreme low temperatures and the coronavirus pandemic in the area has brought difficult times to the livelihood of the people, therefore the distribution of masks and blankets is a relief to the poor people of our society.
