On 6th February 2022, Shanti Devi Welfare Foundation organised a one-day vaccination camp at Bapu Bal Shiksha Kendra High School, Chitta Khera Aishbagh, Lucknow as part of its ongoing efforts to contribute to the local society.

The camp successfully vaccinated more than 100 people, including young children (aged 15 and above) and adults eligible for a booster shot.

Our chief guest, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia Ji, graced the occasion with her presence. She is the first female mayor of Lucknow in 100-years.

The event started with our volunteer anchor welcoming the Chief Guest to mark the
beginning of this event. Ms Muskan Kapoor, Founder Director, presented Sanyukta Bhatia ji with a bouquet and gave a brief overview of our organization’s operations. She gave a brief speech about how delighted she is to have Mayor Sanyukta Ji present in the event signifying the importance of woman in leadership position. She also told how she named the Shanti Devi Welfare Foundation in memory and gratitude of her great grandmother, who was a head nurse and used to assist our society by providing free care to the underprivileged during her time.

Chief Guest, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia ji who in her address thanked our organisation and the government. She told how she is proud that now India is making vaccines domestically and how in earlier times we used to take things from other countries. Now we are the ones providing them our support and resources to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Towards the end of the day, the Mayor presented a certificate of appreciation to all the volunteers who came forward with their assistance. Momento and bouquets were presented to Health care workers .
