The sad truth is that individuals with disabilities are often marginalized and excluded from many opportunities, including education and employment. However, there are those who refuse to accept this status quo and are actively working towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
One such initiative is Ravi, a project initiated by our organization that aims to provide education, skill development, and other opportunities to differently-abled individuals. The project was named after our director Muskan’s uncle, who has Down syndrome, as a tribute to his courage and resilience.
Ravi’s mission is to empower individuals with disabilities by providing them with the necessary tools and resources to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Ravi has already enrolled two students, and the impact it has had on their lives is significant. They have gained new skills, developed a sense of confidence and self-worth, and have become more integrated into society.
The project’s long-term goal is to expand its reach and impact more lives. The team hopes to collaborate with more NGOs and organizations to create a network of support for differently-abled individuals. They also plan to set up vocational training programs that will enable individuals to acquire skills that are in demand in the job market.
